MIDDLETON, Wis. (WFRV) – A 42-year-old Wisconsin man was arrested for operating while intoxicated (OWI) on Tuesday morning after an officer saw him allegedly swerving between lanes.
The Middleton Police Department reported that an officer was in the 6400 block of University Avenue around 2:50 a.m. on Tuesday, when the officer found a vehicle that was not staying in its lane.

During a traffic stop on the driver, identified as 42-year-old Darrell Ternes of Cross Plains, the officer noticed the scent of intoxicants from Ternes, who admitted to drinking before driving.
A records check revealed that Ternes had three OWI convictions and that he had a revoked license. Ternes was subsequently issued traffic citations and arrested for a fourth OWI after field sobriety tests.
