WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. (WFRV) – A staple of the Midwest and Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Dells saw record-breaking numbers for tourism in 2024, according to an official release.
The release said that an annual study reported that more than five million visitors were at the Dells in 2024, creating an economic impact of about $2.05 billion, which marks a 1.2% increase in 2023.

Direct spending reportedly accounted for about $1.42 billion, which also marked an increase, this time around 1.3%.
The tax revenues also contributed more than $150 million to both the area and the state overall. The entirety of Wisconsin saw about $25.8 billion in total economic impact last year through traveler spending.
The study added that summer and fall travel grew, which led to the record year, with the former of the two seasons being the largest season for the Dells. Summer visiting accounted for about 42% of direct spending in 2024; however, fall ($246 million) recorded about 17% of the spending, a growth of about 6.5% from 2023.
