DE PERE, Wis. (WFRV) – Hilly Haven Golf Course in De Pere hosted the annual Swing for a Mission fundraiser, designed to support local breast cancer patients and their families.
The ladies-only outing blends the fun of golf with philanthropy, and in the 12th year of the event, it continues to offer a way to find a communal support group for those battling breast cancer.

While it is a golf outing, it’s more than just about swinging the irons.
“It’s about honoring the people in our lives who’ve faced cancer and showing those still fighting that their community is behind them,” Hilly Haven co-owner Kristin Stelzer said via a release.
All of the raffle and hole game proceeds went directly to the Spierings Cancer Foundation, as well as part of each registration fee. The Hilly Haven Golf Course has raised several thousand dollars since 2013 for local causes with this outing.
