FOND DU LAC, Wis. (WFRV) – Community spirit was sizzling as residents gathered for the annual Hometown Heroes Bratfest at 1028 S. Main Street.
From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the event brought together locals for a day of food, fun, and heartfelt appreciation for those who serve.
Attendees enjoyed brats, burgers, and more, with all proceeds supporting the Fond du Lac County VA, VFW, Sheriff’s Office, Police Department, and Fire Rescue.

The event also featured public safety displays and gave families the chance to meet local first responders up close.
More than just a brat fry, the Bratfest was a celebration of service, sacrifice, and hometown pride. Organizers called the turnout a success and thanked the community for coming together in support of Fond du Lac’s everyday heroes.
