(WFRV) – In a proclamation made Monday morning by Governor Tony Evers, June 16 will now be known as ‘Kwik Trip Day’ throughout all of Wisconsin.
According to a release from Kwik Trip, the Governor of the Badger State proclaimed June 16 as Kwik Trip Day because the very first Kwik Trip opened in Eau Claire on June 16, 1965, marking 60 years of successful business.

Gov. Evers noted in his proclamation that while Kwik Trip is known for being a one-stop shop for everything from fresh fuel, quality fuel to iconic Glazers and other good and essential items, Kwik Trip has become a staple throughout local Wisconsin communities.
The Governor also noted that Kwik Trip has become nationally known as one of the best large employers that take pride in providing positive work environments and supporting the success of its employees, as well as extending that support to the communities Kwik Trip serves through sponsorships, programs, and donations.
We are truly honored to have Kwik Trip Day officially recognized by Governor Evers. This proclamation is a reflection of the incredible work our coworkers do every day to serve our guests and communities. We’re proud to call Wisconsin home, and even prouder to be part of so many lives across this great state.
