Officials say deputies were on the scene three minutes following the calls made to 9-1-1 and found that a crash involving a GMC and a Nissan had resulted in heavy damage to both vehicles.
Several people at the scene, including an off-duty employee of the Sheriff’s Office, were attempting to free the driver of the GMC, who was ejected following the crash and left trapped under the vehicle.
A jack was used to lift the vehicle, allowing enough space to free the trapped driver. A juvenile passenger of the GMC was also said to be ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Officials report that the two adults and one juvenile in the Nissan were hurt as well.
Five ambulances arrived at the scene to transport those involved in the crash to the hospital. The Driver of the GMC was later flown by Med Flight to a different hospital. None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

An initial investigation shows the Nissan was heading east on Highway 33 while the GMC was going south on Carimaunee Drive. The GMC reportedly T-boned the Nissan at the intersection while attempting to enter the highway.
Highway 33 was closed between County Highway EE and Garrison Road for about six hours. No other information is available at this time as an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
